The cover to Silver Surfer #4 is one of the most iconic comic book covers ever. The legendary John Buscema was at the top of his game here. In this recreation in acrylic paint on 24” x 36” gessobord, I made an effort to stay as faithful to Big John Buscema’s original art and layout as possible. I added some additional shading and color depth using Joe Jusko’s beautiful reproduction painting as a guide.
